Salvador da Bahia is the city where you can find someone playing music almost everywhere there are tables and chairs.
Many bars and restaurants offer live music too but only a few places are well organized and famous for live music shows called "casa de show".

Wet' n Wild is the most popular space in the city for bands of axe', pagode, reggae and forro'.

Teatro Castro Alves is the most famous of the city, specially for mpb, jazz and classical concert.
Concha Acustica is part of Teatro Castro Alves cultural complex. It is one of the biggest cultural centre of the capital of Bahia. 5000 seats for the greatest artists of the brazilian music.
Parque de Exposicoes offers a mega structure for outdoor big events. It is in this area that is held the Festival de Verao.
Live music in Salvador da Bahia on Tuesday means Pelourinho. Mainly Teresa Batista square, where Olodum use to perform. Small but powerful place with the right mixture between tourists and locals. Dress casual. Get there at 9pm.
Bambara is another live music spot (mainly samba and axe'). This elegant restaurant is perfect if you want a middle class ambient.
There two shows, the first starts at 6.30pm and the second one at 9pm. Dress up. Age 25-35. Address: Av. Octávio Mangabeira, s/n, Jardim de Alah.
Jam Session in the MAM is the best option in Salvador da Bahia if you like blues and jazz live show.
Open air terrific ambient, top level live music, perfect to impress your girlfriend when the sun splashes into the All Saints' Bay. On Saturday starting at 6pm. Dress casual.

Beco da Gal is a popular live music spot in Salvador da Bahia on Wednesday.
It is the kind of place you go if you feel like street party all night although it takes place in a alley and you pay for it (5 Real). Live pagode and samba. Dress down. Age 20-30. Get there at 10pm.
Next to "Perini" supermarket in Rio Vermelho.
Much less attended by tourists are Jangada and Lingua de Prata in Itapoan (see the map) to enjoy a kiosk style bar atmosphere, very basic, really simple, small but nice to learn forro’ arrocha and pagode.
Mainly on Saturday and Sunday. Get there at 8pm. Dress down. Age 25-45.
